Wall of renown
The Wall of renown commenced in 2007 and recognises the achievements of past students who have gone on to make a significant contribution.
There are four criteria for consideration for nominees - that the former student
-
has been an inspirational person
-
has overcome adversity
-
has given to the community
-
has represented at a high level in their chosen field
Applications
Wall of Renown Application Form (211.32KB)
Applications for nominees are accepted year round and will close on the last day of Term 3 annually.
These can be completed and handed in at the school office or sent to the school email address -
young-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au
All application forms are then put before a panel of school executive staff who will vote for the the winner that year.
The recipient will be contacted by the school and invited to attend the annual school presentation in December, where they will be announced as the Wall of renown recipient for that year.
The recipient is invited on stage to accept their award and give a speech about their time at Young High and what they have gone on to achieve in life.
The stories and photographs of all our Wall of Renown recipients hang in the school foyer as an inspiration for all current students
